The Lake of Love is the old port of medieval Bruges. The most romantic spot in Bruges, an oasis for swans drifting around on meandering canals.

THE PRINCELY BEGUINAGE

The Princely Beguinage with its white-coloured house fronts and tranquil convent garden was founded in 1200. Today the little piece of world heritage is still inhabited by nuns of Benedict.

The world-famous Bruges painter Jan van Eyck proudly looks out over the square that bears his name. It is a typical Bruges view next to the water, not too busy which makes a change!
